On April 3, a videoconference was held between relevant experts from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova, during which they discussed issues related to the maintenance and preservation of the Dniester River ecosystem.
The dialogue on preventing the pollution of the Dniester River and its tributaries by untreated wastewater continued. The Pridnestrovian side emphasized the need to implement concrete measures to eliminate sources of water pollution, including through projects to renovate existing and construct new wastewater treatment facilities on the Dniester River.
In the context of the rational use of the Dniester’s aquatic biological resources, experts from Pridnestrovie presented information on planned measures for restocking the river. In addition, the parties discussed certain aspects of cooperation between relevant agencies in combating poaching and agreed to exchange information on violations identified in this area.
